Maybe its because I'm getting older, but lately I've been thinking about my to do list before dying. Here's my current list-what's yours?
-Catch a sailfish
-Smoke an Opus X
-Play golf on a PGA tour course
-Get a hole in one and an eagle
-Sit front row at a concert
-Go back to Vegas
Among others...

My to do list:

1) Break 100 on the golf course (90 if I live long enough)

2) Own a bottle of Louis the XIIIth cognac (the round bottle with the hole in the middle)

3) Put a resignation letter in a limo and have it delivered to my boss after winning the lottery and becoming my own boss.

4) Watch the Islanders win a Stanley Cup again

5) Watch the Jets win the Super Bowl (wasn't around 1969 so I can't say AGAIN)

6) Drive a few hot laps around Talladega, Daytona, Atlana, Michigan and Dover Race/Speedways.

Right on!!! I like the new prospects and I'm glad Nolan is replacing Mr. Swiss Cheese Dunham (*I* could get the puck past him) with Dubie! Shoot me an email....it's in my profile.

Hmmmm...

I've also been giving this some thought recently.

So here goes, in priority order... Wink

1. Build that house I've dreaming about in the mountains above Santa Fe, NM

2. Hike the Appalachian Trail

3. Hike the West Coast Trail in England

4. Get a pilot's license

5. Learn to sail (including learning celestial navigation)

6. Sail the Mediterranean, Carribbean and South Pacific

7. Own a floatplane large enough to live in (Grumman Albatross?)

(and, yes, TWINS!!!)

[edited to correct spelling]

Go to Cuba and fish the same area that Hemingway used to inspire, "The old man and the sea".
Catch a nice fish and cook it up Cuban style with rice and beans and tostones on the side.
Watch the sun set on the beach while smoking a great Cuban cigar, drinking a mojito, with my wife by my side.

Okay, here a a few of mine.

Climb Commitment and Higher Spire in Yosemite. About as difficult as I can reasonably aspire to.

Trek from Katmandu to Everest base camp. Maybe across the Khumbu Icefall. Maybe not.

A month-long sailboat charter in the Seychelles. Fully-crewed.

Get a degree from the CIA. The Culinary Institute of America one.

Play craps at the Casino in Monte Carlo. During Grand Prix week. Great game, craps.

Get a job as a field producer for Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations.

Learn to surf. At Noordhoek Beach. Or Wailea.

Dinner at the French Laundry. If Tom Keller is in the kitchen. Per Se would be acceptable in lieu of the French Laundry. So would Masa.

Ride a custom chopper from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas with Kid Rock and Jesse James.

And while I'm in Mexico, I wanna spend a couple of weeks there with Rick Bayless. Eating/drinking/smoking whatever he does.

I would've said the Appalachian Trail, but CrazyPoet beat me to it.

A luxury riverboat from Cairo to Luxor. Or Chongqing to Nanjing. Or Kiev to Odessa. Pick one.

Spend a couple of nights at the South Pole. Inside. At the NSF's South Pole station.

Go on tour with Jimmy Buffet. Or Bruce. Just for a couple of weeks.
