Also need a website to order from. Within USA to USA.

Pappy van Winkle 23 year

"To those who would tear the world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you. And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright: Tonight, we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope."

In my opinion impressing with price and impressing with taste are quite different. If you want to impress with price, Pappy 23 is good. If you want to impress with taste, there are other options that may cost less but be better. In my opinion the pappy 15 is just as good as the 23 (others may think I'm crazy). My favorite impressively tasting bourbons are in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection: George T. Stagg and Weller. Both very impressive and in my opinion very unique bourbons that should be tried.

When I'm looking to impress;

Elijah Craig 12 Year Old
Evan Williams Single Barrel 1994
Gentleman Jack Single Barrel
Knob Creek 9 Year Old
Van Winkle 15 Year Old

I think you can order directly from the distillers.

Look at Straight Bourbon for reviews.

I'm working my way through a bottle of woodford reserve. It's excellent, and smooth as hell. On the rocks is always good.

If price seriously isn't a problem I don't know why you'd get anything other then the Pappy 20 or the 23 yo. The 23 yo scored something ridiculous like a 99 at the World's Spirits Championships...

Pappy V Winkle 23 is the holy grail of bourbon.

Even if he does not like the massive oak taste you will give him a story to tell for the rest of his life.

Likes others have said, if price is no problem, Pappy 23 is one AWESOME bourbon. The 15 year is quite good as well, but he will do flips when he tries the 23.............
