Have to agree- great beer, though I prefer the Paulener Salvator, I'd never turn down a Spaten.

I too am a big fan of the Paulener Salvator. I don't know which one I prefer- I've never had them back to back. Both great beers, though.

I like optimator better but both are good double bocks

I have never tried Spaten Optimator. Is it readily available in the Northeast (CT)

SAXON- I hope so, because I'll be back in NJ for school starting in September (ick!), but I have no idea! We've got it in little old Dallas, Tx, though.
