Just wondering who does the cooking in your life. It is interesting how times have changed. I remember when I was growing up, my mother always did the cooking. Now with most of my friends, it is either split down the middle or the guy does the cooking. In most cases the guy enjoys it.
Jsut don't tell me your mom still makes dinner every night. Unless you are under the age of 21

In my 10 yrs of marriage I would estimate that my wife has cooked dinner for the family approx 25 times. She is a good cook but has no inspiration to cook. Now remember that I am a fireman so 150 days out of the year I am at work,so those nights she is cooking for herself and the kids.
I actually love to cook. I turn on Sinatra or Neal Diamond real loud, open and pour a big glass of red wine and spend the next 4 hrs relaxing in the kitchen. After all is said and done Itake my bare feet(not pregnant) out back for a cigar and some more relaxation

We both enjoy it. My wife, who does not work, does most of the cooking during the week and I cook on weekends (grilling in summer, roasts or fowl in winter). Often it is a shared effort, which can be fun. We are planning a kitchen expansion with two person cooking in mind. My wife is a better innate cook and experiments with spices, flavors, etc, I follow a recipe but am not afraid to take on a challenge. I try to match my cooking with wine selection, and increasingly, cigar selection.
Recently retired. Up until then we split the cooking by who had to work the latest. Now I am picking up the resposibility. I find it to be a lot of fun and there are so many resources. By the way both of our boys have culinary degrees and are chefs-where the hell are they when I need 'em??

Although I really love preparing my own meals, especially during the summer when it's bakc yard BBQ time, typically most chefs do the cooking for me.
I'm a sales rep and on the road for 2+ weeks out of every month. While any and all meals are paid by the company plastic while on the road, it certainly gets old after a while..
I envy ya'll that have wives or siblings with culinary diplomas

i used to like to cook. my wife does it all now (except grilling). i think i want to start again cause i liked, but she's real good at it and i have no complaints
We both share the cooking. However since we have to little kids, I would say she is doing more since the kids eat before I get home from work.
I have no issues about opening a book or magazine and cooking. OK it may not look the same but is hopefully how it should taste.
I think cooking is maybe one of the most effective foreplays. Good food and wine seems to do it for us. But then you probably did not want to konow that !!

I do all of the cooking: breakfast, lunch, dinner. My mom (who's German) taught me to cook starting at age 7 and I love it. My husband certainly appreciates a fine meal, as do my kids. None of my girlfriends cook. They either subject themselves (and spouses) to frozen meals or carry out. It seems to be a lost art these days.
