A group of CA posters was actually at Del Frisco's opening night in Las Vegas...perhaps one of the finest meals I and others ever had. Well, a few Chopin martini's (with bleu cheese stuffed olives, natch), dinner, dessert, etc., later, we lit up some Ramon Allones Gigantes that were absolutely sublime. But those were the old days...no smoking at the table. But...they did have a small smoking room that had big chairs, a piano, roaring fireplace...is that shut down too? What a shame.

In Vegas, on one corner it's Ruth's Chris; next corner, Morton's; next corner, Del Frisco's Double Eagle. All on Paradise near Flamingo.

Another great steak house is PRIME at the Bellagio. Don't think cigars are allowed at the table, but a few years ago, they were selling Fuente's at the bar for upwards of $50 each.

Havana Cigar Company, I was there a few weeks back after dinner with my brother at Del Frisco's. The selection was decent but not very deep. I took there last Anejo :-) They only had a few sizes of each brand. The bar in the back serves excellent beer and has a good selection of Port/Whisky/Cognac.

Back from my trip, and well, I'm just a skosh disappointed in the Strat. I was at an industry party up in the tower that had an open bar, and I had a Chamuco Maduro Robusto burning a hole in my pocket. So, I thought I'd grasp a glass of single malt from the bar, and head up to the observation deck for a smoke. Wrong was I. No glass in the elevator. So I take the stairs. I get to the ob deck lobby and there's po-lice all over the place. No glass on the ob deck. Okay, I've got pockets. I make it outside, and there's NO SMOKING signs posted all over the place. I'm 900 feet up, outside, and I can't smoke?? What the deuce?!? Madness.

So folks, if you wanna smoke a cigar in the Strat, you'll have to go to the gaming floor.

I'm going to be in Vegas the first week of April for CTIA. Two questions:

1) Where exactly is Casa Fuente?
2) How far is it from the Palazzo?

Where exactly is Del Friscos? It really irritates me that Vice City of all places would ban cigars.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House is located at 3925 Paradise Road in Las Vegas, on the corner of Corporate Drive and Paradise Road, one block north of Flamingo Road.
