Not quite as exotic as the ABT's I posted, but Bacon wrapped shrimp are another staple on the No3's grill.

This will make 10-12..adjust as needed:

1. Throw 5-6 slices of bacon in the microwave for 2 minutes. (critical for later)
2. Remove and cut strips in half.
3. Peel and devein 10-12 shrimp (large or bigger)
4. Wrap the bacon around the shrimp and secure with a toothpick.
5. Cook on the grill for a few minutes (top shelf or must be VERY conscious of flameups)
6. Baste with BBQ sauce of choice for last minute. (I use stubbs..but to each his own.)

Enjoy! Goes particularily well with a nice fat steak and a cold beer.

Very nice. Next time I do some bacon wrapped fillets I'll have to give that a try. Then smoke a nice 64!

We do something similar.

I place the bacon wrapped shrimp on a skewer with bacon wrapped scallops. Grill em up as an appitizer for that steak

There's nothing better IMO than a Med. Rare Filet Mignon or Ribeye.

I like to use a teryaki baste while grilling them. BBQ is nice as well. Not much you can do to screw this one up!

I make something similar. The only real difference is I add a piece of spicy jack cheese.
