Guys

I live in London but going to NYC for one week over holiday. Staying in Upper West Side 75th St. Are there places you can actually have a drink and a cigar in NYC?

I recall two years ago going to a very friendly tiny bar in San Francisco that somehow got round the local laws. I am hoping the same exists in NYC.

Thanks

Steve

search the forum and you will find lots of places...closest to you would be Carnegie Club at 56 and 7th. At the bar, there is no "clip" charge. Very good looking waitresses. Club Macanudo is on the east side in the 70's, I believe.

We are in the middle of a transit strike right now so visiting here may be a problem.

Club Macanudo Madison and 63rd st has a bar as well as a dining room.

Very few cigar friendly places left now thanks to Mayor Bloomburg

Charloods, Ben Benson's, Ruth's Chris and Angelo and Maxies no longer allow cigar smoking.

If you are going to have a steak before a smoke, I would highly recommend The Post House (order the ribeye) and then 20 yards away is Club Macanudo.
