No indoor smoking allowed in the city area. Some places allow you to smoke on the patio, but you might want to ask before lighting up. Vancouver is NOT a cigar friendly city.

Get busy living...or get busy dying.

Chineromine,

Thanks for the information.

This is bad news! I will feel as I were in California.

If you go to Vancouver, check out a restaurant called Joe Fortes. It is a high-end seafood restaurant, that has a beautiful outdoor patio, coupled with a fireplace. The main reason for this patio,is to accommodate its cigar smoking customers. Checkout Gas-town,it is an area right on the water in downtown Vancouver. It has approximately 6 nice cigar shops, full of fine Cuban cigars. Smile

sausi(sp), on Broadway in Kitslano has a ventilated cigar room open from 8:00 pm until closing.

They make a great burger as well.

I just arrived from Vancouver and I really had a very good time. Very nice city and very nice people.

I had dinner the first night at Joe Fortes, very good food and very nice place to have a cigar in the terrace after dinner.

Second nifht I went to Cocodrilo, the food was excellent, but no chance for cigar.

Third nigth I went Cannery. Good salmon. I went b ack to Joe Fortes for a cigar and drink only. This was night was rainy.

I hope I can go back soon to Vancouver. Next time I will try to go to Konkanagan (spelling??).

By the way, I was surprised with BC wines. I enjoyed them. Wines from USA very expensive.

Actually the area is called the Okanogan. It is approximately 250 miles east of Vancouver. And it is a beautiful lush valley full of beautiful lakes, and some very nice vineyards. It is kind of like the Napa Valley in California. British Columbia vineyards are now producing world renowned wines. If you ever get it a a chance to go there, do it. Beautiful vineyards are plentiful, and lots of recreational lakes. Cool

...why would you want to spend your time and money in a politically-correct locale, such as Vancouver, that is hostile to cigars?????...., go where you can relax, be yourself, and enjoy a good cigar without harassment....life is too short to do otherwise
