We all know about the groups that are fighting to keep smoking an option in bars and restaurants, but we know very little about the opponents (out opponents). The quotes supporting anti-smoking legislation are always from legislators. I would love to find out about the groups that are lobbying for this legislation. Who funds them, why do they care, etc. Why does this NEVER seem to get surfaced, even in Cigar magazines?

The anti's aren't a big secret at all. Most of your heath groups: American Lung Assn., Cancer Society, heart assn., etc., most health insurers, the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (big into the FDA-tobacco bill with Phillip Morris), Americans for Nonsmokers Rights, push these laws.

State and local chapters make most policy decisions, so enacted laws in different cities and states seldom look exactly alike.

But I've seen their spokespeople quoted in dozens of articles.
