Might you consider removing this item, finally? It's a shame about the Chicago Big Smoke but it's been nearly two months since posted--- Chicago Big Smoke Cancelled

If you don't mind my asking, why does it offend you so much? To me, it's a pretty big deal when an event that went on for over a dozen years is suddenly, essentially outlawed. Besides, I'm sure there are plenty of CA subscribers who only visit the site every few months.
It is a pretty big deal, and it's important that people know the event has been cancelled. And while you come here often and are well aware of the cancellation, just two days ago I saw a thread on another site citing the cancellation. For those people, it was new news. I'd prefer getting the word out too much on this than to have someone not be informed.

Just asking since I, unlike a lot of folks I guess, check in almost every day. Not offended at all, just have stared at it for 1/6 of this year almost... No biggie, and naturally CA is free to leave it on as long and they desire. As much as I distain these new laws that limit personal freedoms, I guess that it might be interesting to learn more about the Big Smokes and if they represent pretty good profit centers for CA, thus making the banning even more painful? (At some events/conventions I've been a part of the sponsor winds up with a cut on each hotel room, meal, the beveages, gets paid by the "exhibitors" and it can generate some nice coin for them.) Also, I would love to hear more about http://www.boston.com/news/local/new_hampshire/articles...rs_from_smoking_ban/ and if this tax will apply only to cigarillo's or ALL cigars, and about the potential and timely good news in NH about cigar bars.
