In an attempt to increase the sales of the damaged cigar shops affected by hurricaine Katrina, is it possible to post some names, addresses, phone numbers, or web sites of those struggling shops, so we could give them some much needed business?
I'm sure many of us here would make even a small purchase in support.
Earl, I like your idea. I heard a story over dinner last night about a Katrina-affected retailer who has six or seven employees that lost everything to the storm. We're going to look into doing a story on this in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for the story suggestion, and look to the site as we start the reporting. I'm not envisioning just a list, but a story about what these people went through and where they stand today.

So will there be a list as well as a story? (you say "not envisioning JUST a list"). sounds great! I'm sure those trying to rebuild their stores and continue their businesses would appreciate the extra patronage from newly found customers.
I realize this topic was just mentioned in the editors' note section of the current issue, however the list may be a good place to put in the next "out of the humidor". feel free to contact me via profile for my name
Ron, what makes you think I'm not helping others affected by this disaster with my "good gesture"?
Furthermore, I will "fret for other tobacconists", most of which are not as well off as Davidoff of New York or other big name (possibly self insured) retailers. They need our help too.
This is a cigar site, which makes it an appropriate place to ask how we can help others in this industry!
