Kaplan has been impressing me since I first picked up a CA mag. Go back and read his archives if you haven't already. Great one in 1998 when he played in the WSOP against a man with no arms or legs who was rolled to the table on a gurney. I've heard Kaplan also has written some good books.
not to thread jack but since we are talking about Kaplan and poker........Did anyone notice that Gabe Kaplan "Kotter" came in second at event #28 in this years WSOP? took home a cool $222,000 for his efforts.......kinda neat to see the former leader of the "sweathoggs" do well!!!

I didn't notice that. He has done some color commentary for various tournaments, but I have had never seen him play.
