I would love to see some print with Ron White. He is hilarious. I can't find anything on the cigars he smokes. I did see something on Davidoff specials T's but that was it. The guy won't play a show unless he can smoke on stage and is never seen without his cigar and scotch.

Guess he won't be coming to NY anytime soon or the anti-smoking nazi's will get him.

With all due respect, Ron White is no where near the genious that was Richard Pryor.
Richard Pryor and George Carlin are the alltime greats.
Ron White is good but Pryor was the king.

Agreed, Pryor was the king.

A young Bill Cosbey used to slay as well.

Ron White, George Carlin, and Larry the Cable Guy - these three are hillarious. I am not really sure about Richard Pryor though. I must have missed out on something.

DRAYFLY3, if you have never seen Richard Pryor in his prime you are definately missing something.
Alot of great comedians come and go but Pryor was an original. He is one of the most copied comedians of all time.
If you ever get a chance to see a live tape of Pryor, you will know what I'm talking about.
He was the Muhamad Ali of comedy. The greatest of all time.

Ron's hilarious. Would like knowing both his cigar and beverage choices. Another must see, IMO, is Louis Black.

I remember watching a stand up comedy of Eddie Murphy and he was talking about how Bill Cosby was asking him why he had to curse so much and stuff like that. So Eddie said he called up Richard Pryor and told him what Bill said and told him that Bill was one of his heros and stuff so he asked him what to he should do and Mr. Pryor told him "Tell him to have a coke and shut the f**k up!" I nearly peed I was laughing so hard. Thats how funny Richard Pryor was though, he could tell Bill Cosby to S.T.F. and make people laugh about it.

Pryor was insane funny. He had the audience in his hands and took them on a laughing magic carpet ride.
Pick up a couple of his dvd's live in concert and you will see the influence he has had on modern comediens.
Back in the day we would get together, smoke a little something and watch or listen to Pryor and Carlin. We would be crying.
Of course Redd Foxx was something to see also.

Did you put "Larry the Cable Guy" in the same sentence as George Carlin? He is a complete phony, and he's not even funny to boot. Look up some old school pics of him and you'll know what I mean.

Sorry had to dig that up. But I agree Ron White is hilarious and he needs to be on the cover of Cigar Afficionado.

This is before he was Larry the Cable Guy and was still going by his real name, Dan Whitney.

I saw one his shows at a casino a couple of years ago and he is definitely my favorite "active" comedian. I will have to go with the others and give Richard Pryor my vote for all time favorite comedian.

Ha, my suspicions have been confirmed. I actually know a guy who has "git er done" tattooed on his arm. I can't freaking wait to show him this train wreck.
