Good Morning.
Just wondering if you are feeling better and what cigar you are smoking today.
Had my first PAM yesterday and enjoyed it.
We are facing 7 inches of snow tonight.
Had to get up at 4 in the morning to catch a live bat flying around the room. We live in an old church and this is the 15th one.
Oh - I did finally get the entire set of all the CA's in perfect condition, most unopened. Lots to read. I can't figure out why someone would have them to sell.

You know, I just don't think there is anything wrong with being nice to people. David isn't my teacher - he's an interesting guy.
What am I supposed to be gaining by being nice?
Never mind.

Jeez, rough forum.

I'm still not smoking, and it's starting to drive me nuts. I'm surrounded by great cigars. I think maybe another day and I'll be ready. I feel much better, but I'm still not quite 100 percent.

A live bat in the house, huh? That's a new one for me. Sounds like it was an interesting morning in your house.

We live in a river valley. The bats can get in through tiny holes and since the building is over 100 years old, there are plenty to get in.
When one of my daughters was in her teens, she was taking a shower and went to reach down and get the washrag. It was a live bat. Talk about screaming. Many times, when the girls were still at home, I would get shoved out into the hall to get the bat while others cowered in
a closed room.
I used to play safari and shoot them with a bb gun but it made holes in the wall. Now I just get them with a butterfly net and take them outside.

Puffingaway,

Did you send the bad off to be tested for rabies? At least here in Alabama they are very bad about carring rabies. I would highly advise you give your local Health Department a call for info on bats and rabies. If you were bitten or even handled the bat I would highly advise you talk to your Doctor about it and look at gettin the post exposure rabies vaccine. Rabies is 100% curable if caught in time and given the post exposure rabies vaccine but once you begin to show signs of the virus its 100% fatel and a horrable way to die. Bats are bad news my friend. There have been folkes that contracted the Bat varieant of rabies that were not bitten.

Thanks - I never came in contact with it nor any of them. I use a net and don't even touch the end of the net.
Have not had any rabies cases in minnesota that I am aware of.
My wife is very up on this type of stuff.
