Dear Mr. Savona,

A lot of your members have left recently to go to another "new" board. I have been invited to join them and I will, but I will also continue to frequent the CA board. I am a member of 4 other cigar posting boards. I have never had any problems with CA and I don't expect to have any in the future either. I'm on these boards for (1) fun and (2) education. I've never attacked a newbie and don't usually post anything too controversial. I've enjoyed my time here and hope to be here a long time.

Thanks for listening!

The people that seem to have left are the ones that were self appointed moderators. No loss to the furthering of cigar smoking. It just means we all have to step up and support the new folks with questions, instead of watching them be shredded. I don`t mind a good argument mind you, but when people defend the indefensible and cannot ever see error in their ways- it comes the time to go. To be honest I had this week been deciding whether or not to bother coming here anymore with all the complaining- but now perhaps things will find their level.

I too went into to this new board to see what it was all about, each board gives just a lil different view, so I'll lurk in all of them, post in some of them, and enjoy all of them.........

It will be like the last exodus. A new board will start. Some will stay, thinking this is the best place on earth. Some will leave, never to return. Some will post on both.

SyrinxI agree with you on the folks that left were the self appionted moderators and were the Noob bashers. I would like to see this a more Noob friendly place.

Several months ago I tried another cigar forum and was very disatisfied and decided to stay here and dont care to go to another cigar forum. I plan to stay here now through the good times and the bad.

I'd post more if I wasn't on double secret probation for causing trouble. Actually, my account was breached and somebody else was using it. But that's been fixed.

I'll be good if you let me post normally again. I promise. I love CA. It's my favorite board. Really. Please?

Yeah I have seen this happen twice before here, and its one of the things that happens I guess. The key is to keep on posting on things we are interested in, while we have a break from having to waste time defending others and common sense.

I'm also a member of the new board and enjoy it, but I often return to this one as well. I love both of them. The only difference is that you have a lot more freedom on the newer board.

I disagree. In my opinion, they were not "self appointed" moderators. At best, they were good natured bashers, who loved to make fun, but usually after that, the information flowed freely.
Raven, I've never had a problem with you or anyone else on this board, but I've noticed that some people can't take a joke!

I disagree with you completely. They were not self appointed moderators. Have you ever hung out with a group of guys and do something stupid? You should expect to get ribbed. New guys need to figure out how the forum works before rushing in to join the conversation.

Why don't you take this opportunity to stop talking negatively about these guys.

I will talk about who and what ever I want to talk about. I have not posted any names of individuals or the name of any forum. Why dont you take this opportunity to let this drop. These people left on their own and can return on their own it was their choice.

I can take a joke when it is good natured. There has been lots of things said here that was tasteless and went past just a good natured joke.
