Will we ever have the option of having our own Avatars instead of the canned ones?

Yes, we've changed the settings to allow users to post their own avatars.

Cool, being able to have a different avatar than 6 other people will be good. When can we expect this to be working?

The canned avatar worked good for me. I was surprised to find an actual picture of a real spanish paleto.
Unfortunately, now you know what I look like.

Thanks everyone for your patience, we are actually still investigating this possiblity. In the meantime, users can still use stock avatars.

We have adjusted the settings to allow custom avatars.

To do so:

1) Log in, then go to Go -> MySpace -> Profile
2) Click on View/Edit complete profile
3) Scroll down to where it says Avatar, then click Edit
4) In the pop-up window, click on custom avatar.

You can either put in the URL for an avatar, or you can upload one.

Is there anything special that you have to do to the pics to be able to upload them? It's a .GIF file, does that matter? Help!

Yeah, I posted that a while ago when you went off on your little rant about rednecks with Bill. I didn't really think you'd use a microwave as your av. You're more of a toaster oven kind of guy! Big Grin
