That should have been fixed with our last round of service. Let me talk to the techies again.

Thanks, David.

A good cigar and a good drink on the back deck by the lake...if that doesn't make you relax, nothing will!

Here's the answer: blame the wine guys.

We share a server with the Wine Spectator forum. And while we did our maintenance, seems that the wine guys didn't. Thus the problem continued. We're working on them now. We may have to march down to their offices and smoke them out but we're willing to make such sacrifices.

Just be a little more patient with us and we'll have this fixed.

It really is getting old. The other forums don't freeze up....just ask Raven.

Peace.

Happened to me again yesterday also. Good to hear that there may finally be light at the end of the tunnel.

It's been happening all day today as well. In fact, when I posted the above response, after I hit the post button, it froze and I couldn't get back to the site .

The wine folk have promised to do their end of the cleanup today. Let me know if it's more of the same tomorrow.

Thanks.

HAHA! Sounds like a good time Smile Thanks for taking up the torch on this David.

You guys (or the Wine Guys) wouldn't be in need of more techies would you? Where would I send a resume if I wanted to impress the powers that be? Smile

I get freezing or at least extremely slow response times.
I have high speed internet but I thought it was because of a heavy traffic on my local LAN servers.
I now think it is this site.

OK, it looks as though our Bordeaux snorting brothers, the Wine Spectator guys, have done their maintenance and we're back on line. (The cleanup took us off for a couple of hours this A.M.) I'm told that the fixes should result in much improved performance on these forums, so that should mean an end to freezes and such.

Let's give it a whirl and see how things go.

We've done some behind-the-scenes work on the forums which should greatly minimize the freezing problem.

Still, please keep us informed of any further occurrences.

Admin,

Ever since you claimed to discover the problem and fixed it I have not had any more problems. Thank you very much.
