While Raekwon's post is rude and over the top and should be edited or deleted, I understand his frustration with the poster in question. 95% of my posts have been cigar-related and informative. I have gone out of my way to answer questions from all posters re: Cuban cigars. A few, for some reason, see it necessary to insinuate that I am a troll when all I've done is try to be helpful and contribute positively to the Cuban forum. I have made a couple of non-cigar related posts simply to question why I am being scrutinized by 2 or 3 veterans of the board and/or to get a thread back on topic after bickering between old and new posters.
I have no idea whether Raekwon or any of the other new posters is indeed a troll or not. All I know is that I am not one and I grow tired of insinuations by punched and a couple of others whose names escape me that I am. Moderators, please look at my positive contributions here and then look at the sniping and accusatory tone by punched and others that bring nothing but discord to this board. Yes, I am new here, but in my short time here I have enjoyed providing information and answers to questions when I am able. I would like to continue doing so, but a leash needs to be put on some of the older posters here who are so quick to label us new posters and give us a hard time.
It's one thing if a new poster comes in and starts trouble, but entirely another if the new poster contributes frequently and positively and is still the target of skepticism, cryptic sarcasm and veiled insults from a handful of the veteran posters. I implore the moderators here to not let a few bad apples spoil the Cuban forum and run off new, active and helpful posters like me who are looking for a good Cuban cigar board to contribute to. But because of people like punched and a few others, I am having second thoughts on whether or not I would be wasting my time contributing here. Thanks for your consideration on this topic.

Just because you say it, doesn't make it so.
Like suggesting to admin that his post should be edited or deleted, trying to influence admin into not putting him on moderated status or outright banning.
After David's warning yesterday I have had nothing but positive contributions even after raekwon's post which I did not respond to, but which a long time respected poster here did. Thank you Corioanus.
You had the 1st negatively post directed at me just like raekwon & ultraman did but then tried to say I initiated it.
BTW I agreed with you when you said let's keep it to cigars. Raekwon & Ultraman were obvious troll's from the word go to several people & they said so and they proved to be right. We've been down this road before. It's so predictable.

Either that or they are friends. Since this particular group of friends thinks the same way, they might as well be the same person, lol.
Notice how these new guys always seem to end up in the middle of the storm? It's because they aren't new. And I've read hundreds and hundreds of their posts over the years . . . same rhetoric, same style, same phrases (such as calling people "little b*tches," challenging people to fights, etc.).

See this is exactly what I'm getting at. I would challenge anyone here, including the moderators, to cite one example of a trolling post that I have made. The truth is, no one can. I have posted many informative items on the Cuban board, yet not one trolling post. Shortly after I started posting someone decided they didn't like my screen name or sigtag and suggested I was a troll simply because of that. Now people are accusing me of being someone else. I can only shake my head and laugh. It's a completely absurd and unbelievable situation. I'm simply flabbergasted at some people's attitudes.
If my participation and knowledge are not welcome on the Cuban board why doesn't someone just come out and say it? I would gladly take my time and effort elsewhere. Put it to a vote or something. If the majority of people don't want me around I'm gone. But at least give me a reason for the hostility. Cite an example of where I have deserved it instead of throwing out absurd accusations and condescention willy nilly. Some specifics, please. That's all I ask. I think I'm owed some sort of rational explanation for the way I've been treated here.

I feel I need to address this. It was insinuated by more than one poster on the Cuban board that this new guy (me) was a troll despite the fact that all I have done is try to be helpful and share my knowledge. So, I'm guessing that maybe I should have let the assassination of my character continue and remained silent. Perhaps that was a mistake, but I am not one in real life to allow myself to be walked on and so I felt it necessary to make sure it didn't happen here, either.
I was not content to allow myself to be maligned by strangers who do not know me from Adam. So, I suppose, that is how I wound up in the "middle" of this. I was attacked first and I simply chose to defend myself. But,I have not been immature, rude or vulgar in doing so. This whole ridiculous mess is just amazingly insane. I don't understand why it even started and don't understand why it's continuing.

I can only assume PM is referring to me. If it is referring to someone else then please clear that up. You're accusing me of being an "old member bent on causing trouble."
My post was in response to that comment as well as the fact that you (and a couple of others) have followed me around on the Cuban board making unwarranted smart aleck comments and veiled accusations after some of my posts.
Again, I ask why? Simply explain how my posts deserve the type of comments you have been posting. I am not the troublemaker here, sir.

What happened to CA forum? Looks like the only thing people do is arguing and snitching. That’s very sad. I didn’t know that cigar smokers can be so bitter.

Silverzone, Yes its sad that we have had some new folks come here and cause trouble. There has always been a select few people here that appear to have left that kept things stired up especialy with some of the new posters. There is a difference in debating ideas or political ideas but some of the people here old and new seem to want to fire on folks and keep stuff stired up just to cause problems. I can get in heated debates with people and really never took it personal but lately it seems to have been worse. I did report Ultraman the otherday. I have been here for over a year and have almost 3000 posts here and this was the first time and hopefully the last time I will ever do it. There has been a lot of childish threads that were vulger and stupid lately that CA has put people on a moderated status for and I agree it should be cleaned up. I got an Email from Nixdad the other day saying "As you can tell from today's posts, however, the problems that caused me to withdraw - childishness, immaturity, pre-pubescent behavior - have only gotten worse." We are loosing people here due to threads that are both stupid and childish. I will be honist I an glad to see some of the older "hammer the new people" posters go. Some of them had lots to offer due to their knowledge of cigars but at the same time they tended to be trolling at times. There has also been a lot of new posters that have come here and with less than 100 posts start firing on others for no reason. Thney are not here to talk about cigars or debate ideas but just to stir up trouble. I hope thinga will get back to normal around here soon. I plan to stay and wait out the storm of bad times here because I feel this forum is worth it.

What in God's name is going on around this place? No wonder all of the old guys are leaving. This is no longer a site about cigars. Every thread that is started is little other then a "look at me thread" pertaining very little to cigars. I almost don't even bother checking in here anymore other to see who is getting moderated. Hey David, can you do something about this troll infestation?
