I've really enjoyed your comments from and about Houston, but have one small bone to pick.

In writing about the La Flor "A," you wrote, "It’s 9 inches long, with a 47 ring gauge, making it slim for the typical A."

To my knowledge, the Gran Corona vitola has always been 9 1/4" x 47. The Padrons and a few others may have rolled them thicker, but I wouldn't consider larger ring gauges typical for A-sized cigars.

Tiger,
You're right--Cuban "As" certainly are 47 ring gauge. Either Litto's "A" is slimmer than 47 ring or I'm just too used to seeing non-Cuban "A"s with ring gauges of 50 or so. Either way it felt just a little slim in my hand.

Good catch.

Glad you enjoyed the RTDA blogs.
