I agree, but it's happened in the past. And to be honest, with all the wealth in Silicon Valley and in the Bay Area in general, I think it could be a big success.

I know this is an older thread, but the California smoking laws make holding a Big Smoke impossible. I don't think CA would hold it outdoors, and even finding a city that would allow it in the Bay area could be tough.
They did hold some in San Francisco during the cigar fad of the mid 1990s.
The last one I remember in San Fran was back in 1995 or 1996. It was a great Big Smoke. Sadly, the change in California smoking laws made it very hard for us to do the event there again.
