Just for curiosity's sake I purchased a Drew Natural Dirt cigar. People say the Drew estate cigars are very polarizing, and people usually love them or hate them. I don't know if that is the case, as I didn't necessarily love or hate the cigar.

The cigar looks really nice - rich, dark brown wrapper, absence of veins in the binder and wrapper. Not too different than other cigars - a bit small, but nothing too special.

The scent is heavy, sweet, hard to describe- not fruity, but more of a caramel, hot chocolate, flavored coffee vibe.

Pre-light, I was immediately hit with the sweetness and taste of the wrapper. Deeply sweet chocolate, caramel, vanilla, bourbon type of taste. Earthy, but sweet and chocolatey. Better tasting than other flavored cigars I have smoked.

Upon lighting, more of the same taste, but more intense. The smoke smelled similar to the taste- similar to a Swisher Sweet or Black and Mild, but not as artificial; more earthy and natural smelling.

It didn't taste bad, but it didn't taste like what I want to taste in a cigar. I have smoked worse cigars, but I will probably not smoke another. It just isn't my thing. Probably would be good for first-timers, women, or guys than wanted to roll up marijuana in the wrapper and binder like a blunt.

You're right, Willie, they are strange that way. What I don't understand is that they're not supposed to be flavored, yet they sure seem infused with something to me.

They're supposedly made with exotic tobaccos - Syrian, Turkish, etc. - but I also understand they're stored in the same warehouse as the Acid line and thus take on some of its characteristics.

Maybe Drew Estates can come up with even more disgusting names for their equally vile cigars. How about the Drew Estates Pus or the Drew Estates Scabies? Could probably price those bad boys at $10 a stick.
