APPEARANCE AND CONSTRUCTION (11 of 15 Points Possible)
Nice appearance and construction. There is a slight box press. The wrappers are all uniform. There are some veins but nothing too unsightly. They don't compare with the annies but they also cost 2 bucks each. They smell fantastic as with all padron maduros. Wrapper is identical to the K series. They clip well and the draw is just how I like it, easy but not wide open.

FLAVOR (23 of 25 Points Possible)
These taste just similar to the K series. Nice chocolatey espresso flavor. They are slightly less complex and earthy than their larger ring guage counterparts but they make up for it with a stronger cocoa flavor. The small ring guage condenses the flavors well. They are sweet and aromatic with a richness that is hard to find in a small ring guage cigar. The taste is a winner.

SMOKING CHARACTERISTICS (23 of 25 Points Possible)
I smoked 6 of these already from a box bought 3 weeks ago. I have only had to correct a bad burn once. The rest were flawless. The ash is nice and tight and they don't get hot until the very end.

OVERALL IMPRESSION (33 of 35 Points Possible)
For the price, these are unbeatable. They don't offer as much smoke as the robustos so if you are a regular robusto smoker you might burn these down pretty quick, like I do. The plus side is that they don't get hot. They are a nice quick cheap smoke for when you want something that tastes good but you don't want to smoke your premiums. I smoke these daily now. They are a nice little substitute for the 2k and 3k maduros. The flavor is even a little sweeter and more cocoaey than the larger sizes. If you are a fan of corona sized cigars, these are one of the best I have had.

Overall score - 90

Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.

Thanks PMP, I've never tried these and Padron's are right up there with my fav's. I usually just get the 3k and call it good, but I'll have to try these. They sound like a good golf course cigar.

Guys, I swear by these sticks! Especially if you don't have all the time in the worls, but want something good, quick and cheap! i like the La Vieja Habanas for a decent cheap smoke, but these are WAY better.

THanks for the great review, as always. I've smoked a lot of the 2000's (although not recently) and decided to try one of these and a Padron Delicias for a change. Checked out your review before smoking as I wasn't sure if the flavor profile was similar to the K's or not and wanted to know what to expect.

Count me in on these. Sounds like the perfect flavor profile for me and the size is good for those cold evenings on the front porch. Thanks for the review PMP.

I have got to stop reading these reviews. My wife is starting to see a corrilation between our VISA statement and my time spent reading PMP's and Stogies reviews. Smile

If you have even less time to spare and can't smoke a PLM, try a Cortico, these little babies still pack the same punch and these cigarillos are avaialble in Natural and Maduros! i've seen them for $10-12 for a tin of 6.

Sorry MCNut. If I can't get along with my fiance why should you get along with your wife? Matrimonial bliss is highly overrated. Big Grin

PMP-Fair enough!! Big Grin But after 33 years of wedded bliss Wink it's hard to get away with anything. Keep up the good work and I will try to stay in the game.

JS - Thanks,I will have to look out for those tins. When it gets real cold I have on so many layers of clothing that if a cinder fell on me I would become a two alarm fire!
