In the past I would have never smoked an Acid or Drew Estate cigar as if I considered any "flavored" cigar in the same category as a machine made crap stick. Recently I was convinced to give them a try after reading about the process to be made.
I was surprised. I found them to be well made, nice appearance. Although odd at first, you end up really enjoying the cigar. I would definitely spend some money on these in the future.

policeofficer, six months ago i would have agreed with you, but now, no. hey everyone has their tastes, enjoy those acids or naturals. for me its kind of a role reversal from you. im new to cigars and drew estates are the firsts i smoked. but then i got into other cigars like torano, fuente, padron, olivia, and more. well what i did was buy two humidors. one for the acids and one for the non drew estate cigars. as i smoked more of the more premium brands i left my drew's alone. well one day i decided to go and have a kuba kuba. didnt taste right. in fact ill swear that i could taste the lesser quality in the tobacco. maybe im wrong. but i got rid of all my drew estates. dont know what it is, i just cant smoke em.

I enjoyed the Acids when I first started smoking cigars, in fact I'm not sure if I would ever have learned to enjoy smoking cigars in general if I hadn't gone through my Acid phase. Haven't had one in awhile though and I'm hesitant to try in case they aren't as good as I remember.

I'm guessing that some of the old timers here got their start by smoking Swisher Sweets back in the day so they really shouldn't make too much fun of Acid smokers. Smile

dont you mean jamaican. you would sheepshead come in with some remark like that. hey my first cigar wasnt an acid or a mac. i dont even know the name of it. at eighteen i didnt care about names i just wanted to smoke a cigar. i do believe that once a came around to actually learning the names which was probably five years later, that i first smoked a punch, then and acid and then i tried a monte. all at random, not knowing what i was smoking of course.

I agree with Steve. Acids are what I started on, and they helped me get into cigars. Unfortunately, my tastes sort of outgrew them. I keep a few on hand (in a plastic bag away from the others) to give to my friends who don't smoke that often.

I tried a flavored cigar once and did not aare for it. I'll stick to conventional cigars, but if that is what a guy likes smoke 'em up.

So tonight after smoking a AF Hemingway Work of Art which was not quite a long enough smoke for me, I went back and tried an Acid (Blondie) which I haven't done for awhile.

The Acid reminded me of what I initially enjoyed about them, they are very mild and even though they are 'infused' they do not have the bitterness and unpleasant taste of the other flavored cigars. Not something I'll smoke often but at the same time several steps above a Kahlua, Cao Flavours, or similar flavored cigar.

An Acid was one of the first cigars I smoked. I thought it looked different and thought I should give it a try. I didn't really care for it...the flavor imparted a sort of metallic menthol flavor. Tasted too cigarretish to me.
