Apperance and Construction (8 of 15 points possible)
The band is cheesy even compared to the regular FDO bundles. The wrapper is ugly. There is no oily sheen. There are large veins running every which way. Almost every cigar in the 3 boxes that were in the store was ugly. The construction was uniformly spongy all the way down. The cigar clipped well. The prelight aroma was very very mild. Nothing exceptional here at all.
Flavor (22 of 25 points possible)
Slightly sweet smoke with a peppery finish. It changed to earthy and slightly vegetal at the halfway point. This cigar has good flavor but is lacking in richness.
Smoking Characteristics (21 of 25 points possible)
Even burning, mild to medium, slightly flakey ash. Burned slightly hot toward the end even with slow draws. Smoked it to 1.5 inches, the last draw was harsh. Not a cigar likely to get, "nubbed."
Overall Impression (31 of 35 points possible)
This is a decent cigar for the price. I am going to try a few more before I run out and buy a box. It would be good for a moocher or yard gar if you don't mind the ugliness. Overall, I liked it slightly better than the FDO bundles but it's nothing spectacular by any means.
Overall Score - 82
