Generally, folks don't seem to impressed with Gurkhas but I wanted to try one.
Overall: impressive looking, great construction, good burn, easy to smoke, extremely mild, boring due to lack of flavor.
Contruction: I think its a great looking cigar. Dark, oily, almost wet looking, great perfecto shape. I noticed it weighed little for its size, as if it were rolled loosely but still very evenly. So it had a great draw all the way through and was easy to smoke. Solid ash, slightly flakey at times.
Taste: MILD! I thought I read it was supposed to be fuller in flavor. No way. This was impressively mild and clean in flavor. The finish is fast and clean. I smoked it down to about the last 1/4 and there was very little build up of stronger or bitter flavors. The consistently mild and clean flavor was impressive but very boring.
1/3: started mild, a little sweet.
2/3: loads of light clean smoke, mild, getting bored, no flavors popping out, no complexity
3/3: the ease of smoking kept me going, fun to puff. loads of mild clean smoke still, a hint of toasty/bitterness thats pleasant.
Appearance: 14/15
Smoking Qual.: 23/25
Taste: 20/25
Overall Impression: 29/35
Total: 86/100
Probably won't get any more of these. Would recommend to a beginner or casual smoker who wants a good long smoke and nice looking cigar with no smoking issues.
