First of all I would like to thanks Jose Oliva for the chance to sample this new line of smokes he has brought us. I have more of these and will give them out till they are all gone. This box has only 3 months of settling time.
Appearance and Constuction (13 of 15 points possible)
A nice Tannish-Brown wrapper with fine tooth caress this cigar, although the wrapper is kinda dry(there is a light sheen) the cap is done up nicely and the double bands are of good quality. The cigar is heafty wiht a good feel. Lots of tobacco packed in this MoFo.
Flavor (22 of 25 points possible)
First couple of draws reveal a spicy earth, wood, coffea and some nuttiness through out. 1/4 of the way the spice dies down a bit, I'm know getting a nice roasted nut flavor, with toasty earth and coffea on the finish. At the halfway point the cigar is showing a nice semi-complex medium body, alsmost medium-full at times. The flavors are still roasted nuts, coffea but now it seams to take on a earthy, leathery quality on the finish. Below the 1/2 way mark the flavors are more complex and Im getting hints of twang(nice). At 3/4 way I'm still experiencing a twang along roasted nuts, chocolate, coffea and notes of vanilla dancing through out the finish. This second half of this smoke is a flavor bomb that just blew me away from 5/8th's to 3/4th's into the smoke. I almost knubbed this one, but put it out at 3/4 left. The final flavors where as follows. The slight twang disappeared and was once again replaced by spicy earth, coffea, roasted nuts and vanilla on the finish. This cigar never got hot or produced any bitterness on the finish. With 3 to 6 more months this Beyotch would really be killer.
Smoking Characteristics (23 of 25 points possible)
The Aroma was rich and satisfying, consisting of toasy cocoa and a woody tobacco note. Due to high winds in the area the ash fell of at 3/4, it was mostly black with some silvery ash. The ash had a firm crunch. The draw was perfect in every way. The cigar burnt razor sharp all the way to the end, the only reason some points where deducted was because of premature Ash drop at 1/2 inch (this happened twice).
Overall Impression (31 of 35 points possible)
Oliva cigars are always a treat, priced right, with good well matured and fermented tobacco, flavor and impeccable constuctiion. This was a very richly balanced, complex, solid medium bodied cigar. The flavor and flawless construction made for a very entertaining and enjoyable smoke. This is a cigar that could fit the bill anytime of the day, IMO. Its kinda unique, in that there are not to many smokes out there to compare it to. If you like Oliva cigars you'll have to give this one a definite try, its worth a shot. I think this cigar would definitly benifit from more settling and deliver even more in the flavor department.
Overall Score - 89

Great review Stogie. This one sounds like one killer smoke. Any similarities to the new "O" line? I notice those need at least 3-6 months in the dor to really get going too.

The Classics are a nice smoke. Consistent, nutty tasting, and are perfect for people who prefer medium-bodied smokes. One great thing about Oliva is the consistency in taste and construction.
Nice smoke.
I like cigars.
