I received one of these in a trade a while back, and finally decided to pull the trigger over my lunch break today.

These are an interesting little smoke - a 3x50 mini-robusto, with a long twisted "fuse" forming the cap.

The smoke opens with intense pepper, then quickly settles into a nice blend of cedar and coffee notes as it warms up. The pepper plays with you - receding into the background, then re-appearing.

The finish is soft, almost like velvet, and it lingers - I'm still enjoying it as I type.

The draw is easy and the smoke is plentiful and cool. The ash is medium-gray and firm, holding for about an inch and a half.

My opinion? This is a great short smoke - about 30 minutes - but I wish it was longer. The flavor was really beginning to develop at the point where I had to set it aside or risk serious damage to the moustache... Smile

This is a great smoke for lunchtime or a walk around the block, and the price is right as well - $99 per box at Two Guys Smoke Shop.

I think I'm going to add a box to my next shopping list.

Nice review. Most people don't know about this stick.

I think Two Guys has an exclusive on it...true?

I've not seen them anywhere else, so that may be.

EDIT: Yep, I confirmed that this is exclusive to the Two Guys Smoke Shop

Only Blue label I had was an Imperiales. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Famous smokes has a good deal on the blues. In their 5 pack frenzy, they usually end up cheaper than by box.

Well CrazyPoet, I had to buy a box of these. I have been wanting to try the DPG line and love a short smoke for the drive home from work. Looks like a great combo!

My B&M (not Two Guys) always has a few boxes of these around.

Thanks for the update! It's quite possible that the information I found online is out-of-date.

I would like to see an in-depth review of this cigar compared to the AF Short Story, and see what would be a better short smoke. I LOVE the Short Story, so to see one great short smoke compared to another in a BATTLE OF THE SHORTS would be a cool little review

The main difference between the SS and the firecracker is that the firecracker is much more of a full-bodied smoke, with a lot more spice.

I'll have to try a side-by-side, and see if I can get a bit more detailed than that... Smile

The Firecracker is way stronger than the Short Story.

The last time I smoked a Firecracker (x-mas of 07), the last half (when smoked with a toothpick) was power-house category.

I've smoked quite a few and I've noticed some are stronger than others.

Both are equals, it just depends on your mood and whether you want a Dominican (SS) or Nicaraguan (DPG) smoke.

There's also the Oliva Serie G Special G which is almost in the same size/class.

Wow for the price, those Olivia's I bet are great. I saw a 5-pack sampler of them for $11.99. That is awesome!
