You can buy dang near any CC for $20-25 including aged stuff, so I won't be taking any chances with this stick. I love the VSG, Opus, and many others, but I buy them at MSRP only. In my opinion, they are worth the price at MSRP.
Best value in cigars right now is the Hoyo De monterrey Dark Sumatra (pick your size). Great flavor for about $5-6, with the $12 sticks not being anywhere close to twice as good.
I agree with your statement about the pricepoint. Not to put down this cigar, but there's others out there that I would try first before spending that kind of money. Think of all the nice Cubans you could have for that.

Smoked my first tonight. A very well cared for 20 year salute. Absolutely spectacular and maybe in my top 10. Did not throw the bitter taste on my palate I mentioned with every VSG I have smoked. The value question is unanswered in my mind, but it's a damn good cigar.
