Ok, first off I think I may have had an epiphany today. I was mesmerized by this cigar. It was my first one out of a 10 count box with box code OSU from October 00 and it will be hard to stay away from the rest.
Construction on this cigar was almost perfect. It had a nice tawny wrapper with only 1 vein running the length. It felt a little firm so I was nervous of a tight draw. Once I clipped and cold drew I was still nervous as there did not seem to be much air flow through the cigar.
At light up this long, thin cigar (36 x 7 1/4") snapped right to attention with rich tobacco flavour. As it turned out the draw was perfect, just enough drag that you couldn't reef on the cigar. A cigar this thin needs to be puffed slowly and the draw on this one allowed you to puff perfectly.
Once I got into this cigar it really opened up. It was what I would call a mild/medium strength cigar. I don't have a good enough palate to discern the flavour that some do but I could pick very distinct tastes out of this cigar. It had a sweet, thick smoke. Every puff was different, sometimes it would taste of chocolate and other times almost like raw cookie dough (don't laugh). I swear I even had 3 or 4 puffs that tasted just like maple syrup. The aroma off of the cigar was very floral which was quite enjoyable.
When I had to take the band off the cigar started to get harsh for a few puffs. I think that I may have been too eager to find the maple syrup again and had started smoking too quickly.
I nubbed this one, I could not put it down and I figured that I owed it to the cigar. I'm giving it 94 points. A couple of the lost points are from the appearance. If you can get your hands on some of these aged then I suggest you do so. I gave 2 of these to another board member and I'm very intersted to see how they enjoy them.

I had been thinking of getting some of these, I've seen them with an 02 box date recently... Top25cigar has this one rated #1 overall... I might have to pull the trigger
If you look around some of the usualy online sources you can find some 10 boxes but I'm not sure the box code on those either.
LCDH in Rome does not stock them i was there today picked up a couple of boxes of Tainos though.I will be in Mexico from the 15th to the 25th.I will check out the LCDH in Tijuana and Cancun. Thanks for the tip J web.

Hi Steve, what about your infamous 1/8" drill bit? Was it beacause the cigar was already lit?
