I have been wanting to try this for a while, and i wasnt let down. this is my first review, so bear with me:
CAO CX2 Robusto Appearance and construction: Nice and oily cameroon wrapper, slightly lumpy cap and plenty of tooth. It cut nice and clean, and was firm with no soft spots. 14/15 points.
Flavor: Prelit draw was a bit spicey and very tasty. It started off with a bang, spicy and loads of flavor. Cinnamon, leather and a bit sweet at first. 1/3 through it the spicey taste faded a bit, and the sweetness took over, but not too sweet. 1/2 way through the spiceyness is back and is great. Towards the end i was getting a bit of cocoa on the finish. This was a very flavorful smoke, dominated by spice, cinnamon and a bit of sweetness that was very enjoyable. 22/25 points.
Smoking characteristics: This thing produced loads of rich smoke, and had a razor sharp burn all the way till the end. The draw was perfect, not too tight and not too loose. The ash was picture perfect and held on for 1/2 of the cigar. very impressive. 24/25
Overall impression: I was definately impressed by this one, and it has a place right up there with the other great CAO's. I considered a meduim bodied smoke. It was a bit pricey, but i think thats because it just came out and has all that tasty cameroon leaf in it. I definately recommend this to any cameroon lover. 33/35 points.
Total score: 93 This score is a bit high, but then i chalk that up to the fact that i have never done a review before.

Nice review Jad, you hit the ball solid on the first swing. I'm still in the dugout. I've got these on top of the hit list as I developed a liking for a good Cameroon and after your review I am very much looking forward to scoring some.

Nice review Jadawin! I've done a few reviews and sometimes I still rate cigars a little high for some people's tastes. Reviews are all subjective though. There is an argument to be made for scoring too high and then where do you go but the reverse is true, if you score on the low side what would it take for a high score? Keep it up. I've been wanting to write a review but haven't smoked anything new lately. DFW jump on in! If it's a sincere review attampt I don't think you'll get it too bad. A couple guys will bash but they would bash no matter what. Go for it!

Where did you get the CX2. Did you buy a box or just a stick. I want to get a box of these to add to my monsterous humidor. I have a box of Partagas Naturals and Span Rasado's ready to be aged, along with 2 new boxes of 1964 and 1926 Pardrons and i just got my Rocky Patels back in my locker. GOD, good smoking is to come. Just want these to add to it!
Great review Jad....and don't be afraid of rating one too high...remember, its what you think about that particular smoke.
I've got a couple of these that have been in the humidor a few weeks, and I'll light one up this weekend to try out. After your review, I can't wait..CAO doesn't blend bad smokes at all

I would have to age with Jadawin 100%. I picked a few of these up and just had to try one on Sunday night. Besides the band having WAY to much glue on it, this was an excellent smoke. A beautiful toothy wrapper, nice crisp, even burn, and an excellent flavor profile. Tons of spice and cedar and as Jadawin noted, a distinct cocoa note that got stronger towards the end. The construction was very nice, firm and a nice cap. They were a little pricey (I think I paid $8.50) but I will definitely buy these again.

My local best-selection, best-priced cigar retailer now carries all three sizes of the Cx2. I had a Toro with me last weekend while waiting for my car at the tire shop, and I spent an hour outdoors savoring it. Since then, I had my second Cx2. I won't do another review, but I will add my recommendation to try these babies as soon as you can. Other than the odd band, I found it to be a box-worthy cigar.
There's a CAO event tomorrow in my area, so I will see what kind of deal I can get for the Cx2. I still need a Brazilia hat!

Glad to see a review of these here. I had the good fortune to be gifted one of these (actualy a few of these) in the robusto size and have smoked two of them.
These are pretty close to my perfect cigar. They start off with a full range of delicious flavors that push all the right buttons for me... mostly earthy with a bit of cinammon and cedar, and dark coffee. It is smooth with no bite initially.
About half way through, the coffee flavor really picked up, along with a spicier bite and hints of cocoa. It also picked up some strength and the nicotine buzz kicked in about 2/3 of the way through.
Overall, a very nicely blended and well balanced flavor. Fine construction and nice aroma. I'll have to pick up a box of these when I can stomack the price.
