Two thirds of the way through a RyJ Short Churchill (box date Nov 06) and I am very impressed. I haven't tried one of these since last summer and there is a real difference. Great amount of smoke, perfect draw, tis one was not that attractive but sweet and silky.
I'm not a fan of the strong cigar though so those who want to get a butt kicking smoking would probably not enjoy this. But for me there is that "silky" quality to the smoke which I enjoy. What a difference a year makes!

I have some from Oct 06, they have been aging (what's left of them) since Feb 07.

They are one of my favorites along with the bolivar RCs.

I've got some here that I picked up in December '07. They're sitting until the appropriate time. Needless to say, I've been tempted to pick one up and enjoy it.

Did you guys see the review of this cigar in the most recent edition of CA?

No, what did it say?
Another current favorite. I prefer the DB over the tubos.

Well, out of respect for the copyright over the review, I won't reproduce verbatim the review. The Short Churchill received a score in the low 90s and comments on its wonderful flavor. You can find the full review on page 174 of the June '08 edition.

Thanks! I don't buy the mag, so I won't see it.
Low 90's seems right. These should improve with a year or two of age.
