I am not familiar with Nestor as a manufacturer. I picked up some as a recommendation.
The cigar is wrapped in classic Conneticut shade, and the one I pulled had a fairly large vein in the inner wrapper. Not distracting, but a flaw nevertheless. I noticed after I cut the cigar that part of the vein was stringy and didn't completely cut- that was a minus.
Pre-light, the cigar was mild, the wrapper had the characteristic Conneticut shade earth taste. I pretty much knew what to expect from this cigar- classic cigar in look, feel, smell, etc.
Upon lighting the cigar, I got a woody/leather taste with a bit of spice and some dark roast coffee after taste. This continued through the cigar, but the spiciness increased about 1/2 into the smoke. The wood left and the coffee picked up, too.
The cigar had a mild to medium body with a large volume of smoke.
The cigar was ok. It isn't the first cigar I'd reach for in the humi, but it was not unpleasant. There was not a ton of character to the cigar. It is hard to describe my feelings about the cigar.
It is like this, I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't buy another one. If someone offered me one, I might take it to be nice, but I'd turn it down if I had something else to smoke. The only situation in which I would be happy to smoke this cigar would be if it were to save my life. Then again, I didn't hate it- I have smoked worse cigars, but I wouldn't smoke one of those again, either.
