(6.5 x 52) Box Pressed. What a great looking smoke! Each cigar has a designed logo branded into the wrapper. I thought it was medium bodied, it had just an ok draw to it, and the cigar burned a little uneven from time to time. The taste was rich when lighting up, but mellowed out soon after. It got a little too spicey off and on, but still smooth. Worth trying if you can find them, but not a favorite.

These are some very nice cigars. I have one of the Torpedoes aging in my humi as we speak. When fresh, they seem a little unbalanced to me. Once my torp gets to six months (about mid-July), I'll light it up to see how it is coming along. If there is a noticeable improvement, I'll definately be getting myself a box.

They are very nice and full of black coffee and cedar flavors. One of my favorite nc's. Can't wait till the fall when the MB2's come out.

I am now officially hooked on the "O" series maduro torps now. This is the first cigar that I experienced the creamy taste with. I start thinking about them at work and the cravings kick in. I will be buying a box of these next week. I cant wait to taste one that has aged in the humi for about six months.

I have a box of the Churhills in the cooledor and boxes of the Torps and Robusto's on their way. These are my favorite nc's. I haven't smoked them fresh and the boxes I get in are being put down to get some age on them. These will be re-released in 2006 I believe. I'm hoping they don't mess up the blend with the MB2's.

Peace.

Oliva held back 75k cigars to re-release as aged smokes in 06 from the original 03 run.

That's why I'm just putting mine away. When they re-release I'm sure they'll go for well over their original price and if Oliva has this much faith in their aging potential I'm goint to rest them for a long time.

Peace.

My local shop had several boxes of these in churchill that hadn't been selling all that well...to make a long story short they've got over a year of age on them right in the shop's humi...i've been smoking alot of these lately, and they are an awesome smoke...a little spicy to begin with, but after an inch they get very nice, and are medium full with a great draw...i'm thinking about buying the other box and do the same as el pres...i'm sure they'll want an arm and a leg for the re-released ones in 06..... Wink

They have a nice flavor but are far from my favorite N/C. In fact, I don't even consider them in my top 5. I HATED them when the first came out after having a few terrible ones. Idesign got me hooked on them with some age. Now I'm a fan but probably won't be running out in 06 to stock up.

I haven't had these fresh but I notice they just keep getting better and better. The robusto is my favorite size.

As is mine. I think the robusto ages a little better for some reason. I have both the torps and the robustos, and it just seems like the robustos are aging better, and quicker than the torps

When the Masterblends first came out, I heard that it was a one time release of 365,000 cigars. The blend and the box will change everytime they send out a new Masterblend. So from the information I was given, the Masterblend 2 will have a new blend to it and a new box style. If you love this original masterblend I would stock up before they are all gone.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.
