Tnis is a huge (6" x 56) cigar, packed with power but with a great deal of finesse. As with all VSGs, I find the wrapper a bit mottled and the construction slightly lacking -- as evidenced by the flaky ash and slightly uneven burn. The flavor more than makes up for the inconvenience of an occasional touch-up, and in this case, the Wizard paid off big time with a leathery core accented by slight touches of pepper and a light coffee aftertaste.
The Wizard is a cigar for die hards, with a bit more kick than my 'everyday' VSG, the Beli #2. It's not an after-lunch smoke and I'd be scared of anyone who can do one after a light breakfast. But at the end of a long day, after a rich and satisfying meal, this is the ultimate VSG. It smokes for about as long as the Spellbound (7.5" x 54) but delivers more flavor, more power, more smoke...more of everything than makes a VSG one of the most desirable smokes in the world.
