Scientists describe five basic tastes: bitter, salty, sour, sweet, and something they call "umami" with is supposed to be anything rich and meaty, sort of like beef broth. I tend to agree with you: tobacco tastes like tobacco. But within that flavor, I have found that it's useful to use words like "leathery" to describe certain nuances. I just find it funny when people get too carried away trying to taste "hints of macaroons" and "overtones of aged Parmagiano" and stuff like that.

Had a Punch Gran Puro Libertad just the other day; sweet, flavorful and enjoyable. Great little smoke, and only $5.50 at the local grocery market!

I completely agree. Some people get too carried away, sometimes its just funny. Myself I taste tobacco , different tastes of tobacco withing different cigars. Some of them are earthy, mineraly, some of them smooth, some bitter, some sweet. I know that many ads and the "market" claims many descriptors, wide varieties of flavors, but I swear, about a couple of months ago I was having a beautiful Bolivar Corona Extra, the first half was the typical wonderful Bolivar flavors, the second half tasted like roasted meat. Succulent roast beef. Damn that was delicious!

Tasting something in a cigar is normal I believe, but tasting a dozen different gourmet foods is just ridiculous.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII have become, comfortably numb.

I was having a succulent roast beef last week, the first half was the typical wonderful roast beef flavor, the second half, I swear I detected subtle hints of Partagas Black Label with slight overtones of Rocky Patel Edge Lite. Damn that was delicious!

This all reminds me of a joke i heard a long time ago.
About a blind man who walks by the fish market and says.
Good Morning Ladies.

"Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God"
-Thomas Jefferson

"The tree of freedom must be nurtured from time to time with the blood of its patriots"
-Thomas Jefferson

"When the Government Fears the People, There is Liberty; When the People Fear the Government, There is Tyranny." - Thomas Jefferson

One good joke deserves another:
Well, you heard about "EMOTICONS", here are some "ASSICONS?"
Here goes:

(_!_) a regular ass

(__!__) a fat ass

(!) a tight ass

(_*_) a sore ass

{_!_} a swishy ass

(_o_) an ass that's been around

This reminds me of a joke. When BB Kings' wife said to her hair dresser "you know I don't know what to get BB for his birfday, you know, he has everything".

The hair dresser replies, "get a B tattooed on the left side of yo' ass and another B on the right side of yo' ass; on his birfday pull yo' pants down and bend over and let him see BB tattooed on yo' ass! I bet he'd like that"!

BB's wife goes out and has a large B tattooed on each side of her ass.

On BB's birfday she says BB here is something for yo' birfday, she pulls her pants down, bends over and BB exclaims "WHO THE HELL IS BOB"!!.

(_B0B_)

LOL!
