Hey Id, I busted out that Oliva Gran Maduro you sent me a while back and brought it out onto the porch to smoke. It had been resting in my humi for about 6 months and before that, I don't know how long it was in yours. I had NO idea what to expect. I am a big fan of Oliva's bundles and the Master Blends I adore. This one has a diamond shape - tight at the foot and the head - but nicely tapered with a fat belly. It is box pressed with a super dark wrapper. No chemical taste or feel, no dye at all perceivable. Nice clean cut and a super easy light. What blew my mind right away was the ease of the draw, the great amount of smoke and the SMOOTH AS SILK nature of the stick. I smoked this down all the way and it never burned hot or harsh or bitter, but stayed so nice and smooth and tasty. I would DEFINITELY smoke these again. For about $3.00 a stick for a box of 24 torpedos (I am assuming that was the size you sent me), it seems like a wonderful smoke for the buck. Anyone else try these and have a similar reaction?
Thanks again, Idesign, for a fantastic smoke.

Yeah I love these, and the box that one came from is starting to round out. They were really young when they came which suprised me. I guess the singles I was buying from my local shop had probably been there for a while because once they smooth out, they are very tasty. That was a perfecto, $58 from smokeall.
How many did I send you? Just one? Email me your snailer again, I can't find it and want to send a little something your way.
The have a very nice aroma to them, I smoke my last one the other day and they have made a full circle from the first. I like the Gran Cammies better, there on my list.

oh, right... Gran Maduros!!! oh, man i forgot all about those, I was thinking of the bundles FDO Maduros.
Of course they come in a box, of course they are box-pressed. And yes, they are a very good cheap Maddie. And yes, i too think the Cammies are a little better.
I had one of these that idesign sent me also, absolutely great cigar. These fit my prefs perfectly, and i love the perfecto shape. My local doesn't carry these, but he's ordering me a box anyway...

I've got to see if I can find some of these to try. We checked Corona cigar yesterday when we were there for the Hurrican Herf, but they didnt have any. I want to try a couple just to see how they are. I don't think they are the same company as Flor De Oliva are they??? I thought they were another company??

You have great taste, Andy, they're among my favorites. Especially great for those of us whose taste exceeds our budget!

Yup, the one you sent Idesign. Thought I lit the wrong end....wierd little perfecto. It didn't get good until the fat part. Final third was outstanding. The beginning tasted like a JL Salazar from Cuban Crafters.
I'd like to try this one in a different vitola.
Peace.

The only other size I've had is the little rothchild which was good. I had always bought them from my local shop and they must have always been on the shelf for a while. Very tasty.
