Appearance and Construction 15 of 15

This cigar was superbly constructed. No flaws here.

Flavor 23 of 25

I was bowled over by the flavor in this cigar. It was rich complex and enjoyable while remaining relatively mild. Possibly the best N/C I have ever smoked right next to the VSG but less powerful. It was over way to quickly.

Smoking Characteristics 23 of 25

Burn was slightly uneven(probably due to an error lighting it) but evened itself out after a bit. The Ash was slightly flakey, the clip would have been perfect except that I couldn't find my xicar and had to use a POS.

Overally Impression 34 of 35

This cigar is in the same price range as the zino platinum scepter grand master and blows it away. I am adding this to the VSG as my special occasion cigars.

Overall score - 95

never had one PMP, but I am really wanting to give one a try now. Is this anything like the Double R, but just shorter?

PMP:
Any difference for you whether these are in tubes? Or do all come in tubes. Is there a difference between the Special R and the Special R Tubos?
Looking forward to corroborating,
Andy

I have never seen the special R tubos. The ones at my tobacconist are all naked.

Megalomaniac - I will have to give the short perfecto a shot.

Damn, I wish you did to. What a tease. That cigar was badass. I need to get some more but they are so expensive. For that price, might as well smoke cubans.
