Its a 5 x 54 Tubo with a Cameroon Wrapper. I thought it was a medium bodied smoke, it had just an ok draw to it, and the cigar burned even the entire time It had a great looking white ash to it from start to finish. The taste was smooth and enjoyable with a slight pepper tone to it. Worth trying but not a favorite.
whaat?

For the price those tubos should come with anal lube. LOL, they kinda look like something suited for buttplay. I think I saw the sapphire somewhere for like 25 bucks. WTF?!? And these are cigars, mind you, that get very mixed reviews.

I have to say that I have yet to try one of those tubes. I liked the 100 Anos* well enough, but only in the beli and just not enough to justify paying EVEN MORE for the snazzy looking tubes.
(* my apologies to any Spanish readers/speakers as I know I just wrote "100 Anuses", but the n with the tilde key doesn't work on my laptop! )

so andy what you're saying is you've smoked the cigar inside the tubes, but you haven't tried the tubes themselves...ala pmp's new found use

The La Aurora's Preferidos are some of my fav's. Construction is always good, flavor is medium-full. I was surprised at how nice the Sapphires were, as Connecticut wrapper is usually a bit flat for my taste.
Please don't pay more than $16 a piece for these. I have snagged some as low as $12 but it required splitting a box with someone. They are a nice cigar, but pricey. Try the La Aurora perfectos without tubes. They are a bit cheaper, but they are only available in the Cameroon wrapper.
I like these for a quicky on the town. The tube fits nicely in the pocket and they are a good conversation piece.
Smoked a Gold Corojo the other night at my brother's wedding. After having a bit of an issue getting it lit (there must be a trick) I thoroughly enjoyed it. Think it was $17 so pretty pricey for me. Oh well. Would smoke another one if I had one. Will try the non-tubo version.

Man, I have had nothing but bad luck with thses things. Besides the Graycliffs, this is the second most poorly constructed cigar for the uber-premium price it commands. I thought the taste was flat on all 3 of the tubes, the red tubed maduro being the only exception.
the 100 anuses were just ok in my opinion.
That being said, I love the La Aurora and the Leoninos lines, especially fo rthe price point. Got a 5 pack of the Pueblo Dominicana to try as well.
I guess if Pmp is the Camacho whore, Idesign is just a whore, and I am a Gurkha whore, does this make Binder the resident Aurora whore?

I dont know why you keep getting me and TT mixed up. He is the Resident whore of Inflatable latex farm lust. He's also been using the fleshlight the wrong way, instead of sticking himself in it, hes sticking it into himself.

Compare the prices between the tubed & non-tubed preferidos. It's unbelievable that La Aurora wants to charge so much more just to stick a cigar in a tube!!
I agree with the consciences here...I had a Sapphire about 6mos ago and wasn't bowled over by any means. In fact, I chose this over a Padron Anniversary Maduro Torp because I had never had one. Baaaaaad choice for me because I really wanted to like it but for the money it's not that great. If this was say a $6 stick it would be a deal but at $15 skip it.
