Smoked my first one of the box today. It is a pressed cigar with a significantly less oily wrapper than the serie O. The shape does feel good in the mouth, but the box shape seems to influence the burn. The downward face of the cigar burned noticeably faster than the top, so you end up rotating the cigar as you smoke it to keep the burn even. Its interesting how the ash is nearly round verses the box shape of the cigar.
The wrapper is a smooth dark brown and not as firm in construction as the serie O. The serie G is much more spicey and less of the roasted maduro flavor the O.
I find that to me one of the measures of a pleasurable smoke is how much is left when I am finished with it. This 7" cigar nearly burned my lips before I retired the cigar to the ashtray. That is a good sign indeed.
I enjoyed the serie G, but would want to burn a few more to make sure prior to giving my recommendation. The Serie O maduro I recommend without reservation, just don't bid against me on cigarbid (sd in al).
UPDATE: The resting period in my humi solved the burning issue, which was minor to begin with. The cigar on further review remains significantly more peppery and spicey than the Serie O. The cigar tends to mellow at about the half way point, so don't give up on it if you prefer less spicey cigars. I think my palate may have needed some adjustment time as it was an early a.m. smoke and I find that tooth paste tends to linger on the palate longer than we give it credit.
I detected at about half way on a long draw a very interesting chocolate flavor. It was intense and remained for some time. You can get different flavors from this cigar by just adjusting your draw technique. Use clearing blows, short puffs, rest time, and long draws to get the full experience from this one.
