Appearance and Construction (15 points)
15 points.
Perfect. Just the right amount of oily sheen. Wrapper was without veins, no tears, no loose ends, velvety smooth. Firmness was consistent and consistently solid. Head was without flaw. This cigar looked absolutely gorgeous.

Flavor (25 points)
22 points.
Fairly complex and flavorful; powerful enough to be noticed but not relying on strength instead of flavor. Flavor perhaps could have been more complex, but it was wonderful.

Smoking Characteristics (25 points)
22 points.
Lit perfectly and the draw was also outstanding. Lots of smoke; all in all, an easy cigar to smoke. The burn was not razor-sharp, but very good nonetheless. Never hot, never bitter, just all around a quite enjoyable smoke.

Overall Impression (35 points)
32 points.
Ranks up there with the best of them.

Rating Score: 91

You've been smoking too many dog rockets. Big Grin

I don't mind the flavor usually, but the burn problems I've experienced with these ruin them for me. I have about 6 or 7 more sitting in my humidor. Maybe they are too oily and need to rest longer than most, who knows.

No debate... they burn very poorly and the flavor is mediocre at best.

Don't bother me. EYE am on a permanent vacation.

StogeMeister -- yup, the one you sent. It was wonderful, a fantastic smoke.

I'm getting some more; they're right in my "power alley", so-to-speak.

I still have two sitting in my 'dor and I think they are a good smoke. The Gold lone is better, but the Maduro is still good.

...as to the notion of excess, I don't give much thought to it except to say that I never smoke while I'm sleeping, and I never smoke more than one cigar at a time while I'm awake.

-

Had one of these a couple of nights ago and have to agree with the poor-burn-mediocre-flavor side of this thread.

Appearance and construction...

The ones I smoked had major veins that looked like they were sewn together. The taste was not bad.

i tried one a few weeks ago and was confused. was this a cigar i was smoking, or a well disguised horse turd? my friend likes them for some reason so he smoked the remainder of that (i had only smoked maybe half inch or so), and i lit up a short story, which to me was a dissapointment. mild, flavorless, and smokeless.
