So after hearing about what a good bang for the buck this cigar was, i had to buy one. well a box (it was only 51 bucks with shipping!). anyway, they arrived yesterday, and looked promising. i wont do a real review right now since i smoked it while cleaning/arranging my room for next year, but i will do a quick overview and post the review after the weekend.
the construction was great. good, well made cigar, not really what i was expecting at 2.50 a pop. burn was good, stayed straight the whole way down. draw was near perfect, large clouds of smoke easily pulled away. taste was not it's strong point. strong tobacco flavor with some spice, so fairly one dimensional. strenght was one of its strong points. medium-full strength, hesitant to classify it as strong since it was definitely not near as heavy a buzz as the chisel, but it was a good deal stronger than most. granted i smoked it over about an hour, so when i sit down to do a real review of this it will probably take half the time.
my take on the cigar? definitely enjoyable and worth the money. by no means a victory cigar or one to enjoy with fine scotch, this one takes its place at the poker table on friday nights or when you're looking for something with power that ain't gonna break your bank.
