Went into my local tobacco store today and to my surprise they had Cuban Cohibas sitting right there on the counter. They had the traditional black and yellow band on them, but instead had la Dominican Republic written on them. I asked the store owner about them and he told me they brought them in from Cuba unbanded. Once they arrived in the states they had this fake band made up that said DR on it to hide the true identity of what they were, but still jump out to us knowledgeable smokes who recognize the black and yellow Cohiba band. Anyway just want to share my great find w/ everyone. Smoked 3 of the sticks already, what great smokes, only downfall was the price of $18. Guess you have to pay for quality, glad I bought the box while they still had them.

Can you post a pic, for sh*ts and giggles? It seems really odd that a B&M would do something like this. Plus for $18 a cigar, you could buy a Cohiba Siglo VI with the original band. Just seems a bit odd brother. Anyway, cheers mate.

I don't know how to tell you this, but you've been had. I hope that you at least enjoyed the cigars.

I hope this is another teenager doing a research project on internet forums because I can't imagine anyone being this gullible....and this shop owner should be put out of business forever....

I think the consensus is that they're fake, and your local B&M isn't a reputable shop to buy cigars.
