As I stated earlier.. I had a Esplendido from 98 last night.. it was def top 3 smokes I have ever had. As I said, it was from 98' and I really enjoyed this cigar. It does really developes into a complex three stage smoke as I like, and it is very Cohiba like no other all the way down to my fingers. I only smoke cubans(maybe some Padrons), and I like a good smoke and this is cetainly a pleasure. I have a box back at home fro 98' as well aging in my humi, and as OI tasted last night they are at the very tasty stage. This older one displays the Cohiba grassiness as described from some people and I have found that to pleasant as well. At first, harsh for just a second, then it becomes creamy to spicy on my palette. I cant say enough about it.. At the end of the day it is all about the you tastes, and for me this one brings it hard.. easily one of my most favorites ever. Buy a box, and dont touch it for 5-10 years.

Great read, ccsiglo - yum, think I'll have to smoke one pretty soon. I agree that this is a great cigar to put away for as long as you can.

Not a bad thing to have to settle for.
Eight times out of ten, I'll reach for a Lancero if I'm going to smoke a Cohiba.
