Tubo (5 x 52) This was my third time trying a Montecristo Platinum, and first time trying the Mini Belicoso size. I thought it was medium bodied, it had a nice draw to it, and burned even the entire time. The taste was smooth and enjoyable almost all the way down. It started to alter in taste towards the end, but I felt that this was the best size I have tried so far. Worth trying but not a favorite.

I'm going to have to give them a try.

I'm a MC nut, but smoking a Platinum #1 was the first time a cigar knocked me flat on my ass.......1st and last time I ever lit up on an empty stomach.

Ever since I've been very reluctant to try another of the Platinum line......perhaps I'll have to try again.

I like the Monte Plats and agree about th eprice being a bit too steep. I pick them up at JR's or Holts usually in special offers, the Habanos tins or when they come in samplers. I rarely buy a whole box because there are other cigars I'd rather have for the dough.

I like the MC Plat line, too and the Beli's are wonderful short smokes. I agree the price for these could be better and if you look around you can get these at a nice discount.

i love montecristo platinums, my favorite is the vintage 1999's and 2001's, the 1999's are hard to find around my area though, very scarce. have you tried the white's yet? i'm still trying to find them around my area and i can't seem to find any so i'm thinking about ordering a few online somewhere

I enjoyed the MC Platinum Tins I bought online. Nice good quick smoke.

I just had my first MC Belicoso Plat Mini...Nice bold flavors...but I think my stick was defective...it had a very uneven burn...Enjoyed the finish...but I'll have to try another in hopes of a more even burn...love Montecristos...but a little disappointed with this stick.

Welcome to the forums Deems. Your stick was probably a bit over humidified. If you purchased it at a local B&M chances are it was kept at a high humidity. Same goes for buying at an online site. Next time let it rest a while or dry box it over a night or two. You will find that at a lower humidity, 65%-68%, these and most cigars will taste and perform much better.
