I got this one as soon as they came out, its got 5 months humi time.
Appearance and Construction(13 of 15 points possible)
A solid cigar thats firm in the hand. The wrapper is semi veiny with a ruff dry appearance and the color of an HEB Paper sack. The band is OK, something a little different from the norm.
Flavor (22 of 25 points possible)
First couple of puffs were a tingling intense rush of spicy black pepper, licorice and leather. The flavors end with a short finish but the black pepper stays behind on the tastebuds. After a inch gone this cigar still stays intensly rich with a full bodied blast of flavors that still include leather, licorice, cedar and a spicy black pepper finish. The reason I say this cigar is full bodied but richly balanced is the fact that the flavors are not all muddled up but very discernable from each other. At half way the flavors are still strong and rich with a cinnamon, leather, cedar and all so ever present spicy black pepper on the finish. The cinnamon has now took over where the licorice use to be. So far this smoke has been slightly complex, just enough to allow you to key in on the intense flavors. At times there are hints of citrus peel. At the 3/4's finished mark the flavors are still cored around leather, cedar, cinnamon and citrus notes. Black pepper still dominate the finish. I put it out with a little less than an inch left. The cigar finished up ok but was somewhat lacking. Flavors were once again leather, cinnamon, black pepper and notes of citrus peel on the tail end. The finish was medium.
Smoking Characteristics (21 of 25 points possible)
The aroma is strong but alluring with a spicy, smokey tobacco aroma that tingles the inside of the nose with a cinnamon spice. The ash fell of at about an 1 1/4 ", silvery hued color with some black speckles. The texture was powdery and somewhat flakey. The draw is nice and easy with a burn that sometimes went stray for awhile but always corrected itself except for one touch up at the 3/4 way. The ash also became more flakey, falling off more frequent.
Overall Impression (31 of 35 points possible)
I have never been buzzed by a cigar in my life but this one left me with a nice little tobacco buzz that hanged around for a while. For a full bodied smoke it was nice, but IMO it could of had a little bit more complexity and burned better than it did. Richley balanced for such a strong cigar, it never got chewy, bitter, or muddled. If you like a full bodied spicy AZZ smoke, this one is for you. I just dont think its worth the asking price(there are others I like better) but its worth at least trying once. If you like Opus X, Cubita SMS, Zino Platinum, JDN Antanos, and Oliva Master Blends I think you'll enjoy this one.
Overall score - 87
I have a LGD Chizel that Andy gifted me. Its going to get more age before I review it.

I had one of these a couple of months back. While I enjoyed the taste of it greatly while I was smoking it, it knocked me on my @$$!!! I guess I'm too much of a lightweight for this cigar, more's the pity. Great review though.
These are definitely very strong smokes even with six months on them. I still have a couple laying around, and they are real butt kickers. A bit too intense to be enjoyable on a regular basis, but a decent smoke

Picked one of these up today to smoke tonight. I'm fortifying myself beforehand with about a half-pound of pasta in Bolognese sauce, a salad and some carrot cake (Thanks Little T!). Hope that's enough.
Sounds like a late night drunk and urging for some nicotine smoke.

I smoked the Lusitano last night, approx 6x54, $10.50. Nice looking cigar, very well made as I've come to expect from LG. The pre-light aroma was sharp, especially from the foot. I was bracing myself for a Litto Gomez powerhouse but after putting it to flame...nothing. I'm not joking. All I got was a tingle on the palette from the high level of nicotine, a little hint of pepper and a very slight aftertaste of wood. It was literally like smoking air. I smoked it about 1/3 of the way down with no improvement before pitching it. After that, I lit up a Fonseca 5-50 and it had twice the flavor and richness. Let me say that again...a freaking FONSECA 5-50 had more flavor.
My B&M tobacconist said they tried these and declined to bring them into stock because their impression was exactly the same. (I cheated and bought this one at the shop down the street.) And believe me, we love La Flor...we even gather around every time they open a box of Oscuro Naturals just to be the first ones to enjoy the aroma.
I have no idea what Litto Gomez was aiming for with the Litto Gomez Diez line. It's all strength, no flavor. At $10.50 each, I'll take two L-250 Oscuros instead.
For more reading, I like Savona's blog about cigar strength. Some cigars focus too much on strength and forget it needs flavor.

I had a Lusitano tonight and it didn't taste like air at all. Nice tobacco flavor. Alot nicer than the Chisel in my opinion. I enjoyed this cigar more than the Opus X I had last night.
Its not as strong as the Chisel, but the flavor is alot better. I would give these another try if you thought it was like smoking air. The draw was perfect. The burn was probably the most even and perfect I've experience other than the 1926. (I don't get many cc's) There was plenty of flavorful smoke. Wonderful.
An even better LG is the Small Batch #2. That was an exceptional smoke.
