The construction on this cigar is great. Nice triple cap, firm consistent body, smooth draw, and only a slight void of filler in the center.

The wrapper looked fantastic, and I really had high hopes for this stick given the construction.

Flavor: I think I can sum up the flavor of this cigar in one word: NOTHING! nothing? yes, nothing. No..you can't mean nothing, you really must mean something. Nope, it actually tastes like nothing. Well maybe steam, if steam has a flavor, and I'm not about to burn my face off testing the theory.

This cigar was boring, flavorless, but superbly constructed. Bad news is I have a whole box!

If by some miracle you like this cigar, please by all means, lets do a trade. Otherwise, I now have 24 mooch sticks I don't need.

I always kind of wondered how those CI Legends were. I was never willing to take the gamble though. Sorry to hear that you are stuck with a box.

Good review, sounds like a bad cigar. I've bid on some of those legends 5 packs but also not willing to take much of a gamble on them.

Thanks for the info

I'm glad you posted this. I love DPG's stuff and so I was curious about these. Actualy came close to picking up a box at CI back in December, glad I didn't. Guess I should have known better...I've tried the other Legends and almost without exception, they start off promisingly enough, then go nowehere. Clever marketing idea, though. I guess the people who buy these would never discern the difference between "Legends by DPG" and the real thing.

If you want the true taste of a DPG cigar, go for a Tuatuaje (brown or red), a DPG blue, black, or JJ. CI can't match the taste of the real deal!

Well this just goes to prove that taste is truley subjective and to each there own.
Keep thinking that. More for me ;-)

Personally I love this stick. On my second box now. My take would be a Medium Bodied stick. Taste of pepper with a creamy buttery back flavor.(best way I can describe it.)

I will admitt I'm not into the fuller bodied sticks that kick like a mule, that seems to be the fade as of late. Ligaro leafe mind blowers I like to call them. This stick to me is the perfect Go to daily smoke. With a price point you cant beat.

If your just getting into cigars or trying to get some one in the hobby thats not into cigars yet. This is the stick to try...

You all have fun now ya Hear! ;-)

People's taste vary, so one cigar won't be the favorite of everyone.

Thats why there is such a huge selection out there for everyone.

I had my first Legend Series (Pepin) last week.

The construction was pretty good, not oily at all but a solidly made cigar. Not too many veins at all. My scroe: 7

The look was average at best. My score: 6

It started out with a bit of a bite then started to smooth out about 50% through the stick. The draw was absolutely flawless and it did get better as the stick burned closer to the knuckle burning area. After smoking a real Pepin about 7 hours earlier I can say without any hesitation, this is NOT a Pepin copy at all. It is nowhere near a Pepin taste or flavor profile. My score 7

Avg MSRP: $4.00

Overall Score average: 6.6
P to Q Ratio: 1.65 (avg score divided by price)

Peace
