Hi All;

I hope I am not becoming a bore with these posts. Well in my yet young cigar reviewing career I have come across this Puros Indios 'Special-Aged' Piramides.
Now I am a big kid when it comes to collecting things and I enjoyed the small canvas mesh that was wrapped around these 6. It did however have a strange smell to it almost as if it had once been a saddle or something used in the fields.
At first glance, the size and shape of this cigar led me to beleive I was in for a world of flavor. The foot is quite large and it tapers gradually until it reaches its point above the band. I noticed the wrapper was not an even color but rather appeared "grey-greenish" in parts. I was not sure what to make of this as this is touted as an aged cigar and I chalked it up to my novice status and accepted these inconsistencies in color. The next thing that struck me was the light weight of this in comparison to its size. It felt very light and insubstantial despite its brawny appearance.
After cutting the tip off I took a puff with it still unlit and did get a hint at some flavor waiting to be unleashed. Now I must say the fun ended here.
It took me a little to properly light the entire foot of this as it had a large face and once lit the smoke flowed freely, perhaps a little to freely.
Now the flavor instantly hit me. Salt and a tarry taste that I am still trying to get out of my mouth. Now this thing was downright nasty, producing a liquified saline type solution in my mouth that was almost sour somehow at the same time. This cigar is described as having a "complex" flavor and I am going to hope I never reach this level of complexity.
I have never extinguished a cigar this quickly before, about an inch or so, but I did not hesitate with this in fear of my neighbor filing a complaint against me for burning leaves in my yard without a permit. But seriously, I have 5 more of these things if anyone is interested in sampling. I dont think I want to light another one of these even after aging I can not see this taste getting better in any way. I noticed no complexity or blend of flavors as advertised.
I really do not enjoy bashing cigars but felt I would share my experience in hopes of perhaps saving someone else from experiencing it firsthand.
I would love to hear other people's thoughts on this cigar and to see how it compares to mine.

Good review, I've never had one because of other bad reviews I've read before

I've only had a regular puros indios. Tight draw always, then opens up. Not great flavor really. I still have one sitting in my mooch humi.
