My dealer put a free stick in everyone's lockers and so I gave it a shot. I've been hooked ever since.
IMHO - this is the finest NC robusto being made right now. The construction is flawless, with a silky wrapper, carefully-applied cap and a perfect draw. It smokes cool and smooth and LONG -- about 70 minutes on each of the ones I tried! Unless I was smoking them very slowly so I could savor them, but I don't think so.
The flavor profile is very smooth with a distinctive Dominican signature -- coffee, nuts, a tiny bit of earth. Very savory but not overtly sweet. Balance is incredible, and this little guy shows real finesse. If you like an Opus X-style spicy kick, these aren't for you. Most would call them medium bodied.
Worth $14? I think so, if only to experience what a top-notch Dominican can taste like.
I got one from Andy as well around last xmas. Pretty good smoke, got a little hot for me too soon tho.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries. -David Savona

This is a really nice smoke. They are at most medium bodied, and the only way I was ever able to get one to smoke hot was to draw too often. A very enjoyable smoke, though for the money spent, you can buy a couple of other comparable cigars, but still, very nice.

La Aurora 100 Anos Belicoso -> would the above also apply to the La Aurora 100 Anos Belicoso [*apparently only *125,000 were made and that's it forever!] I have the opportunity to purchase about 6 tomorrow and maybe a few of the Robustos. I love my Cubans but a Non-Cuban 100% Dominican is a nice change of pace ;-)
