I really like the way this cigar is presented- cedar wrapped; love the band. The cigar I pulled looked very nice- typical Conneticut medium khaki wrapper. Almost a total absence of veins. The cigar was a little soft, so this made the draw very light (too light for me, actually), and the cigar burned quite fast.

Pre-light, the cigar had a bit of cedar scent from the cedar wrapper (duh, right?). Nothing specutacular about the wrapper scent or the pre-light draw through the cigar. Typical slight spice taste.

Upon lighting, the cigar settled into a deep woody taste, with notes of black pepper and a slight spice. This taste would remain consistant through the entire smoke. Not a bad taste by all means, but not incredibly interesting. I'll give it a year in the humi to see if anything develops.

The ash dropped at about 1 1/2", probably from the loose wrap. The burn was a bit uneven, but not too terrible. High, bright smoke volume, typical of a heavy bodied smoke. However, I'd have to say this cigar was mild to medium bodied.

I'd have liked to see something more complex develop, flavor-wise, but it was a decent, enjoyable cigar. Better than some, not as good as others- like most things in life, I guess.

I smoked another last night- just the small age my humi provided the smoke imparted some smoother notes, and I am changing my opinion of the smoke. I bet after a year or so I may get an even better smoke.
