I recieved one of these from a very nice guy named Dagobert so I figured I would review it. Thanks Dag!

Apperance and Construction (13 of 15 points possible)
A nice oily tanish-brown wrapper with good tooth and slight veins. The cigar felt solid with a good heft, decent cap and no soft spots. The wrapper however seems to be some what delicate and thin.
Flavor (22 of 25 points possible)
Prelight draw consitsted of a good musky tobacco flavor, kinda like the smell of a paper cigar box. I also got a little twang, this ought to be good. The first couple of puffs consist of coffee, wood, spice and a earthy twang. A nice solid core of flavors so far. Im 1/4 of the way know, starting to get some nice complexity and undertones of chicory accompanied by more of that good ol earthy twang. Aroma is very spicy with pepper, hardwoods, and a good tobacco aroma. I'm now a third of the way and Im still getting that tangy twangy tobacco taste accompanied by dark roast coffee. So far the smoke is a nice richely balanced medium bodied cigar. At halfway the smoke has built to a nice medium-full bodied cigar without being harsh or overpowering. There is full richness of coffee , bittersweet chocolate and woodsy undertones of mesquite. The cigar finishes up nicely with a good twang, coffee, bittersweet chocolate and a little chewiness that would no dought disappear with some age. I laid her down in the ash tray at 3/4" left.
Smoking Characteristics (22 of 25 points possible)
The cigar is performing well at the half way mark, so far consistently even but the ash tends to flake a little. I dumped the ash at about an 1-1/4', it was a solid salt and pepper color. About 2/3 third of the way down the wrapper started to split slightly but it didnt affect the burn or unravel.
Overall Impression (31 of 35 points possible)
I really enjoyed this smoke, it started off medium but soon builded into a medium full smoke. It had a lovely twang all the way that resonated Cuban Tobacco. The flavors and complexity were abundent and made for a very balanced and rich smoke. I would recommend this cigar for those that are looking for refinement, richness, and complexity in a smoke that isnt overpowering but deliver loads of different flavors to the palate. The only complaint was a delicate wrapper that split a little but didnt hinder or mar the smoking experience at all. I think this cigar would definitely benifit and get alot better with some age.
Sorry, but I have to correct you at first: The name of the cigar isn't buena cosecha. It was a private stock cuban. Buena Cosecha are inexpensive (but good and spicy) dominican cigars w/o any cuban tobacco.
One dealer here called the cigar I sended you "Don Gil"...
May be it was a misunderstanding because of my horrible english in the UK board
Not at all, some facts about the cigars: - Available in Robusto and Piramide size with the same tobacco blend - Cuban Puro, rolled at the canarian Islands - Filler Vuelta Abajo, Wrapper Partido (as long I knew and/or the producing firm told me). - comes in neutral box w/o print and w/o ring
I can confirm stogemiesters review; this cigar is very similar the HdM Epicure #2, excellent rolled, and has a huge potential for aging. And I like to smoke them best fresh out of the import box; than this cigar has a bit more "power"
We selling them very good here. A top cigar at a low price (4,80 EUR for a robusto, the most cuban robustos cost between 6,80 and 7,90 EUR here).
Regards Holger

Just had one of these tonight that i got from El Pres, very tasty smoke. I smoked the Piramide, and really enjoyed it. I am very curious about the wrapper on these, it didnt look like the average cuban wrapper. It looked like a connecticut shade wrapper to me, but who knows. all i know is that i liked it and cant wait to smoke the others i have!

You rep for Tobacalara Tropical????
I want a refund for the cruddy bundles I bought. Great flavor, like Dagobert said, nice and spicey. Loved the flavor. Worst burning cigars I ever had. Same goes for the Cacique Miami. I got one in a bomb. Smoked it, it was very familiar, then the burn went south, it developed a nasty plug, and I instantly recalled where I had smoked this before....the Ham Fisted Rollers struck again!
If you could get Torano to produce these for you, I'd buy them by the truck load, the tobacco was that tasty. Absolutely the worst constructed cigars I have ever seen. Ever.
Peace.
